Ubaid Dhiyan
Ubaid Dhiyan is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience spanning Network Engineering, Sales, Technology M&A, Capital Markets Advisory, and Strategic Business Development. As an investment banker, he has advised clients across various sub-verticals within Software, including Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, DevOps/DevSecOps, the Data Ecosystem, and CPaaS.
Ubaid began his banking career at Jefferies in 2012 before joining J.P. Morgan’s San Francisco-based Technology Investment Banking team. He played a key role in several marquee transactions, including the sale of Veracode to CA, the IPO of Twilio, and the take-private of SolarWinds. He later joined Union Square Advisors, where he built and led the firm’s infrastructure software coverage practice.
In 2023, Ubaid founded UD Advisory Inc with the goal of bringing bulge-bracket expertise and best practices to early-stage infrastructure software clients.
Ubaid holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
